Fairchild Man Sentenced For Assaulting a Young Girl

A Fairchild man was sentenced for sexual assaulting a young girl.

According to court records, a 14-year-old girl told authorities that David Blum had given her alcohol. Later, she woke up and found him sexually assaulting her. She also said that she had woken up to him assaulting her when she was only 11. During his court appearance, he accepted a plea deal that reduced the charges against him to disorderly conduct charges.

He pleaded guilty, but the judge agreed to dismiss the charges if Blum doesn’t break any laws for a year, gets a sex offender assessment, and has no contact with his victim.
