Wood County Sheriff's Department Investigates Bomb Threat at Auburndale School District

The Wood County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a bomb threat that occurred at the Auburndale School District on Thursday.
According to the Department, on Thursday, September 30th, just after 11am, the Wood County Dispatch Center received a call from the Auburndale School District reporting a bomb threat.
The initial information indicated there was a message on a bathroom stall that read “I have a bomb.” The Wood County Sheriff’s Department responded and was able to identify the individual responsible for writing the message.
It was then determined by the Department that there was no device and an all clear was issued. Just after Noon, students were able to come back into the building and classes resumed.
The incident is still under investigation and the name of the individual who made the threat will not be released due to their age.
