Clark County Social Services Holds Volunteer Driver Training and Recognition Event

Clark County Department of Social Services held its Volunteer Driver Training and Recognition Event on September 23rd at the Clark County Courthouse in Neillsville.
Tina Jerred, Volunteer Coordination & Community Outreach Manager of Fox Cities Victim Crisis Response Team, provided training on boundaries and ethics as a volunteer. Key points reinforced were confidentiality and self-care. Patrol Captain Wade Hebert also provided a question and answer session on rules of the road.
Volunteer drivers provide medical transportation for Clark County residents who are elderly or with disabilities. In 2020, volunteers provided 1,799 trips while logging 91,470 miles. Volunteer drivers, who are not compensated for their time, donated 3,657 hours. Following the training, lunch and prizes were provided.
