Wisconsin's August All Milk Price

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) The Wisconsin all milk price for August was $17.40 per hundredweight, according to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report.
According to the Wisconsin Ag Connection, that was 30-cents below last month's price and $2.00 lower than a year earlier. The U.S. all milk price was $17.70 per cwt, 30-cents higher than Wisconsin's price, but 20-cents lower than last month's U.S. price.
Twenty of the 24 major milk producing states had a lower prices during the month. Meanwhile, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange 40-pound block cheese price closed at $1.87 per pound on September 30, while barrels were $1.75 per pound.
The CME butter price was $1.76 per pound. For the week ending September 25, the Agricultural Marketing Service U.S. weekly 40-pound block cheese price averaged $1.78 per pound, and 500 pound barrels adjusted to 38 percent moisture averaged $1.50 per pound.
The U.S. butter price was $1.78 per pound.
