Marshfield Man Arrested After Firing a Gun in His Apartment

A Marshfield man allegedly fired a gun in his apartment on Monday.

According to the Marshfield Police Department, they received a call around 1:30am Monday morning from a resident in an apartment complex stating they heard multiple gunshots. After speaking with other residents in the complex, they determined where the shots came from.

When they questioned the resident in that apartment, they noticed damage to the window that was consistent with gunshots. The man tried to blame his cat for the damage.

Two guns were found in the man’s possession and he then admitted to firing one of the guns. Police performed a blood draw and then took the man to the Wood County Jail. Charges are being requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
