(Bob Hague, WRN) It's a critical situation for hospitals in Wisconsin, beds are scarce due to a surge of COVID-19 patients.
Department of Health Services Secretary-designee Karen Timberlake said, "Only about five percent of beds in our intensive care units are available, and five percent of medical surgical beds are available."
Wisconsin Hospital Association numbers updated on Tuesday showed more than a thousand people hospitalized with the virus, including 322 in the ICU. Doctors continue to urge people to get vaccinated.
