State Supreme Court to Take Over Any Challenges on Legislative Redistricting

(Raymond Neupert, WRN) The State Supreme Court has decided to take over any challenges on legislative redistricting.

The lawsuit filed by the conservative Wisconsin Institute For Law and Liberty wants the State Supreme Court to handle any cases should the Governor and the Legislature fail to come to an agreement over new legislative districts.

The move will directly challenge a federal court motion that would handle challenges there as well. The Wisconsin Elections Commission says it needs to have those maps in place by March 1st so it can start handling the 2022 election season.
