(Bob Hague, WRN) A new Marquette Law School Poll shows diminished support for the U.S. Supreme Court.
The court won support from 49 percent of those surveyed, down from 60 percent in July and 75 percent a year ago. The poll shows the court's support plummeted among Democrats, dropped significantly among independents, and stayed steady among Republicans.
The court is controlled 6-3 by conservatives and is about to take up cases involving abortion. The court still received the best ranking of the three branches of government. Fifty-eight percent said over time they trusted the Supreme Court most.
