Afghan Refugees Claim Shortages of Food and Clean Clothes at Fort McCoy

(Terry Bell, WRN) Afghan refugees say there are shortages of food and clean clothes at Fort McCoy.

WAOW T-V in Wausau quotes an unnamed refugee who says food runs short toward the end of each meal, and some people are still wearing the clothes they had when they left Afghanistan.

The Department of Homeland Security didn’t respond to Channel Nine’s questions about the shortages. The refugee says staff at the base say they didn’t expect so many refugees so quickly, and were caught off-guard.
