Our Lady of Victory Hospital in Stanley Celebrates Transition to Aspirus
Wednesday, September 15th, 2021 -- 10:01 AM
Our Lady of Victory Hospital in Stanley was one of seven hospital locations to formally celebrate joining Aspirus Health during a welcome event on Tuesday, September 14th.
Hospital and Clinic leaders joined with employees and community partners as part of a systemwide celebration for the 7 hospitals, 21 clinics, air and ground transport services and 2,700 talented colleagues who became part of the Aspirus system on August 1.
“It has been nearly 6 weeks since the Our Lady of Victory team joined Aspirus and we are all very excited about the excellent, compassionate care our new “blended family” offers this great community,” said Dale Hustedt, President of Our Lady of Victory.
“The growth we celebrate today enables us to provide unparalleled care, with more coordination and more convenience, to thousands more people in the rural communities that make this region so special.”
The name of Our Lady of Victory and the former Ascension Wisconsin clinics serving the area will remain the same for the immediate future, although on site signs now indicate that they have joined Aspirus Health.
Ultimately, facility names will be changed to reflect the Aspirus brand. By December 2021 all signs and materials will reflect the new Aspirus facility names.
“For more than a century, this hospital has been caring for Stanley and its neighboring communities and generations of families have entrusted their health, and their lives, to the medical professionals within these walls,” said Kim Renaud, Director of Nursing at Our Lady of Victory.
“Throughout our long, wonderful history, we have seen many changes like medical and technological innovations, affiliation changes, renovations, expansions, and so much more. Every advancement has enhanced the healing care that we are privileged to provide to the people who need us.”
The event concluded with a tree planting ceremony to serve as a symbol of the commitment to grow and thrive with the Stanley community. The tree was planted with 10 symbolic jars of soil representing the 10 legacy Aspirus hospitals welcoming the 7 new hospitals to the Aspirus Health family.
