Tuesday, January 10th, 2006 -- 11:47 AM
School Board president Wetzel that he?ll be pushing the Board to go to Neillsville district residents with a $500,000 revenue cap exemption referendum to settle some outstanding debt ? including around $1-million owed to the state's Retirement System. If passed, the referendum may bump mill rates up a dollar to a dollar-and-a-half the first year, but the blow would be lessened each subsequent year the exemption was in place, Wetzel said.
Wetzel would like the referendum on the November ballot.
The board is expected to make some decisions on the topics discussed Monday night at their meeting in February.
