COVID Cases and Hospitalizations Continue to Climb

(Bob Hague, WRN) COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continue to climb in Wisconsin, even as the vaccination rate slowly inches upward.
The seven-day average of COVID-19 cases is at 1,496, according to Thursday's numbers from the state Department of Health Services. DHS also reported 32 COVID-19 deaths, bringing that seven-day average to 11.
As of Thursday afternoon, 1,071 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, with 317 in the ICU, according to the Wisconsin Hospital Association. So far, 55.5 percent of the has gotten at least one dose of a COVID vaccine, and 52.1 percent are fully vaccinated.
