Wisconsin's July Cheese Production

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) For the seventh consecutive month, Wisconsin cheese plants made more product during July when compared to the same month a year earlier.
According to the Wisconsin Ag Connection, that's according to the latest dairy product summary from the USDA, the state produced 292.2 million pounds of cheese in July.
That was 3.5 percent more than last year, and a slight 0.1 percent higher than this past June. Nationally, about 1.15 billion pounds of cheese was produced in the United States in July.
That was a 3.5 percent increase over 2020, and 2.4 percent hike compared to the amount manufactured during the previous month. Dry Whey output in Wisconsin was recorded at 24.4 million pounds, which was up 13.3 percent from last year, and 12.4 percent higher compared to last month.
