City of Neillsville Holds Prock Park Dedication
Friday, September 3rd, 2021 -- 11:00 AM
The City of Neillsville held a dedication for the new green space on the north end of town.
The new space, named Prock Park, was named in honor of Harold and Pearl Prock who were proud owners of Prock’s Northside Store located at Hewett Street and Black River Road.
There were five children in the family, three of which had disabilities that required the use of wheelchairs. The new Prock Park proudly remembers this family as hard workers, fun loving, and faith living individuals.
Prock’s Northside Store that stood on that particular parcel of land offered general grocery items, fresh meats, and Dolly Madison dairy products to the Neillsville Community and surrounding area. Prock’s was open for business from 1950 to 1973.
