Two People Arrested for Burglary Incident in Jackson County

Two people were arrested after a burglary in Jackson County.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, they received a report of a burglary in progress in the Town of Alma on Monday. The individual who reported the incident was struck in the head by the suspects, but he was able to give a description of the two suspects and their vehicle.
Authorities located the suspects, 26-year-old Aaron Lowe and 33-year-old Jolene Lowe, both of Alma Center. The two suspects barricaded themselves inside a home.
Authorities tried to negotiate with the two suspects to try and get them out of the home. Finally, the Sheriff’s Department, with assistance from the La Crosse SWAT Team, fired chemicals in the home and the two suspects surrendered. The incident is still under investigation.
