City of Owen to Commemorate 20th Anniversary of 9/11 With Tree Planting

To commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the attacks of 9/11, the Owen Tree Advisory Board has recommended, and the City Council has approved, the planting of an Oak Tree in remembrance of those who lost their lives on 9/11/2001.

It will be planted at the O-W-C Fire Hall to help future generations "Always Remember" those who rushed to the Twin Towers on that fateful morning. Most of us will never forget but the younger generation was not alive to bear witness to it as the towers collapsed.

This Northern Red Oak will be here for generations to come reminding them that if we Stand as One, then we can overcome anything.
