Coronavirus Numbers for December 4th

-For local coronavirus numbers:

Clark County has seen a total of 2,235 positive cases.  Of those, 319 are currently active and 165 needed to be hospitalized.  Clark County has had 42 people die from the virus.  Wood has seen a total of 4,417 positive cases.  Wood has had 31 people die from the virus.

The state has seen a total of 399,708 positive cases (an increase of 4,618 over the previous day) and 3,562 deaths, an increase of 60 over the previous day.  Of the positive cases, 17,741, or 4%, have been hospitalized.  For our other neighboring counties, in total, Chippewa has seen 4,990 positive, Eau Claire has seen 7,956 positive, Jackson has seen 1,771 positive, Marathon has seen 10,019 positive and Taylor has seen 1,242 positive.

Marathon has had 131 people die from the virus; Eau Claire has had 59 people die from the virus; Chippewa has had 53 people die from the virus; Taylor has had 10 people die from the virus; and Jackson has had 5 people die from the virus.
