Neillsville Fire Department Responds to One Vehicle Accident

The Neillsville Fire Department responded to a one vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon.

According to Neillsville Fire Chief Matt Meyer, they received the call about the accident around 3:12pm. The accident occured one quarter of a mile south of Chili Road on Reesewood Avenue in the Township of Weston.

When they arrived, they found a vehicle on its side in the roadway, but nobody was in the vehicle nor was anybody around. The Department searched for the occupant in the ditch line and surrounding area, but were unable to find anyone.

They believe the occupant fled the scene of the crash. The Department was on scene for half an hour, they had no injuries on their part, and had assistance from the Neillsville Ambulance Service and Clark County Sheriff’s Department.
