Greenwood City Council Discusses Computer Contract

The Greenwood City Council discussed the computer contract.
After the discussion, the Council approved the contract with Computer TR for a one year term. The Council also approved ordinance 8-1-6 Length of Lawn and Grasses, replacing 10” with 8” in length, and stating after a 5-day warning is given any subsequent violations in a calendar year will result in the Greenwood Street Department mowing and charging a fee established by Council.
The Council also approved the snow removal fees for 2021-2022. For the first offense, they will receive a warning; $50 for a second offense; $100 for a third offense; and $150 for a fourth offense.
From there, if they’re a repeat offender from the previous year and it’s a first offense, it will be $50; if they’re a repeat offender from the previous year and it’s their second offense, it will be $100; and if they’re a repeat offender from the previous year and it’s their third and subsequent offense, it will be $150.
The Council also approved the garbage contract change from Express Disposal to GFL with all parts of the contract remaining as is and approved the recommendation from the Finance committee to donate $900 to Summerfest for the Eliminator.
The Council also approved the recommendation from Planning and Zoning to allow an awning to be placed at 300 S Main St extending 5’ into the setback of the property only on the North side of the building contingent upon all procedures stated in the ordinance have been followed.
Finally, the Council approved the purchase of two catch basins for repair/ replacement.
