Monday, August 23rd, 2021 -- 12:00 PM
(Terry Bell, WRN) The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee has announced a five million dollar student debt relief program.
UWM announced the program last week, using a portion of its federal COVID-19 relief funds. Outstanding balances incurred by more than two-thousand students enrolled during the 2020-21 school year will be eliminated, averaging 27-hundred dollars.
Undergraduate and graduate students at all three UWM campuses - Milwaukee, Waukesha and Washington County - are eligible. They won't have to complete any paperwork - outstanding balances will be deleted automatically.
