Wisconsin Attorney General Files Lawsuit Against Former Head of Natural Resources Board
Wednesday, August 18th, 2021 -- 8:59 AM
(Raymond Neupert, WRN) Attorney General Josh Kaul is filing a lawsuit to kick the former head of the Natural Resources Board from his seat.
Wausau dentist Dr. Fred Prehn has refused to give up his seat on the board until the state Legislature convenes to confirm the appointment of his replacement, saying he is in his full right to do so.
Prehn's seat on the board expired in May, but he stuck around and continues to vote on matters, including the recent decision to increase the wolf quota in this year's wolf hunt. AG Kaul says Prehn is defying the will of the voters in remaining in his seat.
