One of two people charged with attempted robbery of the Holiday gas station in Black River Falls appeared in Jackson County Court on Monday.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, back in November of 2019, two people entered the gas station and demanded the keys to the register. They were able to open the register and a cash drop box.
They then fled on foot. A couple days later, the department received an anonymous tip stating that Treyton Laufenberg and Jessie Blakenship committed the robbery.
Laufenberg pleaded guilty to 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety. Several other charges were dismissed and read in. He was sentenced to six years in prison.
Blakenship was acquitted of all charges after a May jury trial.
