One person was arrested after a standoff with the Tomah Police Department.
According to the Department, they were called to the Econo Lodge on Superior Avenue for a man refusing to leave his hotel room. Eventually, 36-year-old Russell Clausen left his room, but then barricaded himself in the second floor stairwell.
Clausen said he was armed and threatened to kill officers if they tried to arrest him. Eventually, a Crisis Negotiator was able to talk Clausen into surrendering. He was arrested and taken to the Monroe County Jail.
