COMMITTEE PREPARES TO CLOSE BOOKS ON 2005 FARM TECH SHOW

The books are nearly closed on the three-day event that took over three years to prepare for. Matt Jorgensen, who served on the Farm Technology Days executive committee, says a total of $91,000 was raised by community groups manning the food booths."Now we've got $91,000 in the Clark County economy that's probably going to be spent within our communities," Jorgensen says. "That's a very possitive outcome."
Jorgensen recently attended a meeting in Plover where this year?s organizers discussed their successes and failures with future host counties, such as 2006 host Sheboygan County.
"It's not just what the visitors get out of it, it's also what the vendors get out of it," Jorgensen says. "The vendors were happy to see wireless internet access. It's the first time we had wireless internet out on the grounds."
Clark County?s committee has an undetermined amount of money left from the show; they hope to decide how to use before the end of the year.
