The District Administrator will be meeting next week with the Clark County Health Department to review current protocol recommendations. No decisions have been made on this yet.  The Board approved improvements to the Pole Vault, long jump, triple jump, and high jump practice areas. Work will begin soon.

Elementary Principal Nancy Popp reported registration will be four days again this year. Monday, August 9th and Tuesday the 10th will run from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday, August 11th and Thursday, August 12th from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Even though fees have been eliminated, it is still important for parents to update contact and medical information. This is also when they find out which teacher their child(ren) has/have, so they can set up a time for Open House.

Open House will be Monday, August 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Elementary teachers have 20-to-30-minute time slots to meet with parents/students. School supplies can also be left in the classroom.

Tuesday, August 31st is Orientation Day. Teachers will have the opportunity to explain their class rules and expectations. Students will also do a bus, playground, lunchroom, hallway, and bathroom rodeo which is a refresher on the rules and procedures they need to follow in these areas.

They will also spend a shortened class period with all their specials teachers. Picture Day for all elementary students will be the morning of September 1st . Small groups of staff members will be doing some training in August too. This will be for Fastbridge, the new assessment tool, and the continued use of PLC.
