Wisconsin National Guard Still Waiting for Payment for DC Deployment

(Terry Bell, WRN) The Wisconsin National Guard is still waiting on ten-million dollars in reimbursement for deploying to Washington, D-C, earlier this year.
The hold-up means the Guard Bureau hasn’t sent Wisconsin the money that’s supposed to go for paychecks through the end of September. Wisconsin commanders say they’re not sure what will happen.
Right now, they are looking at areas where they can make cuts due to the lack of money. Wisconsin troops went to D-C after the January 6th Capitol riot through President Biden’s inauguration.
