Contrary to Reports, No Firearms Involved in Altercation in Thorp

An altercation in the City of Thorp Saturday night did not involve firearms.

According to the Thorp Police Department, around 9:50pm Saturday night, they responded to a fight in the city.  Two people were taken to the hospital for their injuries.  A third person left the scene. The third person was later located with minor injuries.

No guns were discovered with any of the individuals.  The department did note there was a celebration with fireworks happening around the same time of the altercation, so they believe there was some confusion by those that reported the incident.
