Greenwood City Council Approves Allowing School District to Use Firearms Range

The Greenwood City Council approved allowing the Greenwood School District to use the firearms range on August 14th.
They’ll be using the range for the Hunters Safety course. The Council also approved the Emergency Response Plan as presented, approved Jerry Block for the Library Board, and approved the Municode contract as presented for another 3 years.
The Council also had an ordinance on the agenda, but decided not to make any changes. They also had a discussion on the services for 422 N Crocker. Information was still needed so discussion was tabled until further notice.
The Council also approved the utility truck bid of $31,573 for a 2022 Chevy. Also, a discussion was had on the retaining wall at 217 N Main Street. They will obtain bid estimates before proceeding.
The Council also had a discussion on the fencing permit for 217 N. Main Street, but additional information is needed. The Council also approved hooking up water and sewer at the City’s expense at 606 N River Road in exchange for an easement for the river crossing project.
