Day Two of Farm Technology Days in Eau Claire County

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) Despite sticky weather conditions, the crowds were ready to take in the first Wisconsin Farm Technology Days in more than two years on Tuesday.

According to the Wisconsin Ag Connection, the 67th annual farm show kicked off in Eau Claire County, where an estimated 17,000 attendees had a chance to receive COVID-19 vaccinations, operate virtual equipment and test drive a brand new pick-up truck.

Hundreds of vendors were also on hand to answer questions about their agricultural products and services. And more than 1,200 participated in the farm tours.

During opening ceremonies, State Agriculture Secretary-designee Randy Romanski said it was good to see people doing business in-person once again.

Gov. Tony Evers was also on hand, where he touted elements of the recently passed state budget for including money for broadband expansion in rural areas and funding for farmers mental health treatment. He also issued a proclamation to the Rygg family for being the show's host.

Meanwhile, Wednesday promises to be another eventful day. Educational sessions on electrical safety during the harvest season and information on state and federal tax credits will be presented at the Rural Events Center.

Alice in Dairyland Julia Nunes and Country Singer Chris Kroeze will be back on stage for another day. The local weather forecast for today is calling for cooler conditions than yesterday with highs in the upper-70s.

Farm Technology Days concludes on Thursday at Huntsinger Farms. And don’t forget to stop by Clark County’s tent at the event.  Clark County will be hosting Farm Technology Days at Roehl Acres and Rustic Occasions in Loyal, July 12th-14th in 2022.
