Public Input Sought for Wisconsin 13 Project in Marathon County

Public input is sought on the WIS 13 project in Marathon County.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is seeking public input on proposed improvements to WIS 13 between 26th Road in the town of Spencer and WIS 98 in the village of Spencer. Construction is currently scheduled for 2024 but could occur as early as 2023.

Proposed improvements include:

-Removing the top layer of the existing pavement and replacing it with a new layer of hot mix asphalt pavement;

-Replacing non-Americans with Disabilities Act compliant curb ramps;

-Commercial driveway upgrades at locations which do not meet sidewalk ADA standards;

-Aand installing new centerline and shoulder rumble strips through the rural segments.

During construction, WIS 13 will remain open with single lane closures and flagging operations.The public is invited to view materials on the project website and provide comments through Monday, August 2nd. An online comment form is available on the project website.
