Reminder, Be Careful of Blue-Green Algae Blooms

(Terry Bell, WRN) It’s that time of year - to stay away from blue-green algae blooms in Wisconsin lakes.

Blue-green algae can make people sick, but the Department of Natural Resources says it can be fatal for dogs. The D-N-R says your best bet is to just stay away all together.

Wildlife officials are also asking people to report algae blooms, so they can be tracked.
