Governor Evers Signs "Ethan's Law"

(Bill Wise, WRN) Governor Tony Evers has signed “Ethan’s Law” into force to protect children in the foster care system.
 
Wisconsin Act 72 prevents children in protective custody from being placed with admitted child abusers.  It’s named in honor of Ethan Hauschultz, a seven-year-old Manitowoc County boy who was beaten to death three years ago.

He had been placed into the home of a relative who had pleaded no contest to a charge of felony child abuse before that happened.
