Man Sentenced for High Speed Chase in Jackson County

A man arrested in Jackson County for possession was sentenced in Jackson County Court.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, back in May, Mikel Koller initially failed to stop for a deputy and passed other vehicles in a no passing zone. He eventually pulled over for authorities. After a search of his vehicle, authorities found meth, heroin, and prescription pills.
Koller pleaded guilty to vehicle operator fleeing/eluding an officer. Several other charges were dismissed and read in. He was sentenced to 2 years of probation. If he fails his probation, he’ll have to serve the imposed and stayed prison sentence of 2 years and the 2 years of extended supervision.
