Dorchester Man Charged With Possession of Child Pornography

A Dorchester man has been charged with possession of child pornography.

According to court records, 24-year-old Ricardo Pena Cruz was arrested after the Clark County Sheriff’s Department received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

They informed the department that, back in May, someone was engaging in a Facebook chat and exchanging files that were flagged as child porongraphy.

The Sheriff’s Department obtained a search warrant of Cruz’s home and found multiple electronic devices.  Eight photos and eight videos of child pornography were discovered.

Cruz is facing three charges of possession of child pornography.  If convicted and sentenced to the maximum amount, he could face 25 years in prison and a fine of up to $100,000 or both.
