Dane County Man Will Go to Trial for Killing Marshfield Native

A Dane County judge has ordered that a man charged with the killing of a Marshfield native will head to trial.

According to court records, 54-year-old David Kahl is charged with killing Marshfield native Brittany Zimmerman.  She was attending UW-Madison and was stabbed to death on April 2nd of 2008.

During a preliminary hearing, probable cause was found, meaning Kahl’s court proceedings will continue. Kahl is currently serving time in prison for a 7th OWI conviction.  A future court date hasn’t been set at this time.
