Make Sure Your Vehicle is in Good Condition Before Any Summer Road Trips

(Raymon Neupert, WRN) -Before you head out on that road trip this summer, make sure you've got a plan in case your car breaks down.

"You want to find out once you get to a location when your vehicle is going to be fixed how the shop charges you. Is it a flat fee, is it an hourly rate, what's it going to look like? Can they give you an estimate for the repairs before they start to work?"

"Make sure that any problems that you can catch, you do catch through just routine maintenance before you hit the road and make sure your insurance policy for towing is up-to-date and you're squared away."

You should also be sure to get your car a regular maintenance check before you head out on a cross country trip, and be sure your insurance is up to date.
