Monday, July 12th, 2021 -- 12:00 PM
-Have you ever dreamed about being a role model for the younger generations, or being Clark County’s Ambassador, or being able to share your Fair Passion with others?
Well, here’s your chance; consider becoming Clark County Fairest of the Fair. Applications for the 2021-2022 Fairest of the Fair Scholarship Program are now available, but you’re almost out of time to apply. Applications must be postmarked by this Thursday, July 15th.
Please help them find the 2021-2022 Fairest of the Fair and Court. Eligible males or females must be a resident of Clark County between the ages of 16-25 (17 on January 1, 2022) and hold a valid driver’s license.
The purpose of the Fairest of the Fair Program is to promote the variety of opportunities (educational, agricultural, social and commercial) available at the Clark County Fair.
Applicants will be selected on the basis of personality, communication skills, school and community activities, professional appearance, knowledge of and experience with the Clark County Fair.
The individual chosen will serve as the official host and spokesperson for the 2021 Clark County Fair to be held August 11th through August 15th, with duties beginning immediately after being selected.
Responsibilities include welcoming the public, interviews with the media, announcing special events, judging and participating in contests and awarding ribbons.
Throughout the reigning year, the Fairest of the Fair and Court attends County functions, speaks at community engagements, schools, and clubs, and participates in parades as requested.
In addition, the Fairest represents the Clark County Fair at the three day Wisconsin State Fairest of the Fairs Competition succeeding County reign, which would be January 2023 in Wisconsin Dells.
This public relations opportunity awards a scholarship for continuing education at the end of the reign in the amounts of $500 for the Fairest, $250 for 1st Attendant, and $125 for 2nd Attendant.
