Thursday, July 8th, 2021 -- 2:01 PM
(WMTV) The recent Fourth of July weekend is a big holiday for tourism, an industry that took a heavy blow in 2020.
More than halfway through 2021, the Wisconsin Department of Tourism said the year’s recovery is better than expected. According to the department, trips of two or more nights are up nearly 5 percent compared to April 2019.
These trips are creating more business for hotels, restaurants and local attractions.
