Tourism Grants Available for Wisconsin Tourism Industries

-The Wisconsin Department of Tourism is excited to report that several of the grant programs targeting the tourism industry are now accepting applications.These grants, funded by the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act Coronavirus Relief Fund and administered by the Wisconsin Department of Administration, will help Wisconsin’s small businesses and venues that serve as cultural catalysts in communities across the state. The different grants include the COVID-19 Movie Theater Grant Program with grants totaling up to $10 million available. The application deadline is October 26th at 2:00pm. It aids Wisconsin movie theater owners and operators whose operations have been negatively affected by COVID-19. Also, there’s the COVID-19 Lodging Property Grant Program with grants totaling up to $20 million available. The application deadline is October 26th at 2:00pm. This grant supports Wisconsin hotel and lodging facility owners whose businesses have been affected by COVID-19.
There’s also the COVID-19 Live Music and Entertainment Venue Grant Program with grants totaling up to $15 million available. The application deadline is October 28th at 2:00pm. This assists Wisconsin’s live music and entertainment venues and operators whose operations have been negatively affected by COVID-19. Finally, there’s the COVID-19 We’re All In Small Business Grants with an additional $50 million now available. Applications will be accepted between 8:00 a.m. on Monday, October 19 and ending at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, November 2. This helps small businesses get back on their feet as they re-emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic and prioritizes businesses most impacted by the pandemic including restaurants and taverns.
