Jay Parker To Debut New Book

Jay Parker of Minneapolis, originally from Granton, published a book about the history of Granton several years ago entitled “Granton - A Stop on the Stage Route”. Well Jay has now just completed a second volume called “Looking Back - a Pictorial History of Granton Wisconsin” which will debut in Granton next week.The book features 610 photographs, each with its own caption. The reader will explore Granton from its early days, beginning with photos dating around 1900, through changes in the mid- and late-20th century as well as the people and businesses of today.
Jay will be giving a presentation to the Granton Rotary on Tuesday, October 13 at the Granton Community Center. The evening begins with a meal at 6 pm, followed by the presentation of the Granton Honored Citizen Award to Arlene Beilke, then Jay’s presentation, Q&A and book signing/sales.
