USDA Announced September Federal Order Class III Price Falls Again

The USDA announced that the September Federal Order Class III price fell a second consecutive month to $16.43 per hundredweight.That was $3.34 less for the month, and $1.88 below September 2019. By contrast, the Class III prices for each of the first eight months of this year were $17.05, $17.00, $16.26, $13.07, $12.14, $21.04, $24.64, and $19.77 respectively. That's an average of $17.48 for the year.
The Class IV component price was 22-cents higher than last month at $12.75, but $1.40 less than last year. Meanwhile, the Wisconsin all milk price for August was announced at $19.40 per cwt., down $2.90 from July's price, but 30-cents more than the same time a year earlier. (Wisconsin Ag Connection)
