Wisconsin All Milk Price for August

The Wisconsin all milk price for August was $19.40 per hundredweight, according to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report.That's $2.90 lower than last month's price, but 30-cents higher than year-ago levels. The U.S. all milk price for August was $18.80 per cwt., 60-cents lower than Wisconsin's price and $1.70 below the previous month. Eighteen of the 24 major milk producing states had a lower price when compared with July. Meanwhile, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange 40-pound block cheese price closed at $2.57 per pound on September 30, while barrels were $1.80 per pound.
The CME butter price was $1.51 per pound. For the week ending September 26, the Agricultural Marketing Service U.S. weekly 40-pound block cheese price averaged $2.16 per pound, and 500 pound barrels adjusted to 38 percent moisture averaged $1.68 per pound.
