JACKSON COUNTY INMATE LEADS HIGH-SPEED CHASE WHILE OUT ON HUBER

A Jackson County jail inmate who fled while on huber release is now facing felony criminal charges in an incident that occurred on Friday, November 11th.Gregory Whitegull of Black River Falls was spotted traveling on HWY 54 at a high rate of speed. He wouldn?t pull over and continued traveling at around 80 mph in the 55 mph zone. Eventually, ?road spikes? were deployed to slow the vehicle. The spikes flattened two of Whitegull?s tires, but he continued until coming to a stop on a dead end road outside of Black river Falls.
He?s now back in jail and charged with 4th offense OWI, fleeing and escape. His Huber privileges have also been revoked. This was the second high-speed chase in Jackson County in a 48-hour period. Another came to end in a crash that injured two people on Wednesday.
