Clark County Health Department Offering Flu Clinics

-The Clark County Health Department is holding free special flu clinics for children.At these special clinics, the flu shot is FREE for ALL CHILDREN 6 months old through age 18, regardless of insurance status. Adults (19+) can also receive the flu shot at these clinics, however the vaccine is not free. The CCHD may be able to bill your insurance carrier or you can pay $30 to cover the cost of the vaccine. Flu shots are also available at the Health Department in Neillsville. To schedule an appointment, please call (715) 743-5113. Annual flu vaccinations are always important, but in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is even more critical to protect yourself and those around you. The clinic are being held on Wednesday, October 14th from 3pm-4pm at the Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center; Tuesday, October 20 from 4pm-5:30pm at the Loyal Elementary School; Thursday, October 22nd from 4pm-5:30pm at the Colby Elementary School; Wednesday, October 28th from 4pm-5:30pm at the Abbotsford School District; and Thursday, October 29th from 4pm-5:30pm at the Neillsville High School.
Also, Clark County is hosting some special Senior Flu Clinics. They’re holding one on September 30th from 1pm-4pm at the Neillsville American Legion. They’re holding another on October 6th from 8am-11am at the Colby Lion’s Shelter. Finally, they’re holding a third on October 8th from 9am-Noon at the Thorp Senior Citizen Center. For both flu clinics, all participants will have a COVID screening before they take part in the flu clinic. They must also adhere to social distancing rules and wear a mask. If you are ill, please stay home. Do not attend these clinics.
