-The Abbotsford High School is going all virtual due to reported cases of the coronavirus. The Abbotsford School District was informed that a student or staff member at Abbotsford High School has tested positive for COVID-19. They are actively working in collaboration with the Marathon/Clark County Health Department and have identified students and/or staff who are considered close contacts. They are also cleaning and disinfecting the school to control the spread of illness. The Marathon/Clark County Health Department is conducting the case investigation. Those who had close contact will receive direct communication from the health department with recommended next steps.
The School District and the Health Department will not include specific names, staff groups, or other information to protect the privacy rights of the individuals. Because of this, Abbotsford Middle/Senior High will be going virtual today and tomorrow to allow time for Marathon County to do contact tracing related to the recent positive COVID-19 cases.
