Neillsville School Board Discusses Employment Matters

-The Neillsville School Board approved a couple employment matters at their meeting on Monday.The board approved the resignation of Cody Roman from his teaching assistant position and approved the hiring of Patricia Drangstveit for a teaching assistant position. The board heard the Administrators’ Reports. Elementary Principal Marcy Kunze reported on new teachers, attendance, Warrior of the Week, picture day, parent-teacher conferences and student council. Middle School Principal Kory Poeschel reported on attendance, 100% remote learners, building improvements, student council, academic and career planning, fall sports and picture day. High School Principal Craig Anderson reported on attendance, 100% remote learners, usage of backpacks and lack of disciplinary issues.
Finally, District Administrator John Gaier reported on Evaluation of Wisconsin’s Achievement Gap Reduction Program, a letter from Wauwatosa School District, WASB regional meetings, an article regarding increased open enrollment, a state Supreme Court decision, a federal COVID-19 relief bill, an article on CARES Act funding and a letter from Senator Marklein on the state’s financial condition.
