Coronavirus Numbers for August 27th: 1,100 Lives Lost to Coronavirus in Wisconsin

-Taking a look at the updated coronavirus numbers from yesterday:The state has 1,138,581 negative cases, 72,260 positive cases (an increase of 768 over yesterday) and 1,100 deaths, an increase of 6 over yesterday. Of the positive cases, 5,651, or 7%, have been hospitalized. Clark County has 242 positive cases and 4,231 negative. For our neighboring counties, Chippewa has 312 positive and 11,727 negative, Eau Claire has 748 positive and 17,439 negative and Jackson has 72 positive and 5,836 negative.
Also, Wood has 425 positive and 11,363 negative, Marathon has 748 positive and 17,085 negative and Taylor has 87 positive and 2,203 negative. Clark County has had 8 people die from the virus. Marathon has had 13 people die from the virus. Eau Claire has had 6 people die from the virus. Taylor has had 3 people die from the virus. Wood has had 2 people die from the virus. Jackson has had one person die from the virus.
