Neillsville City Council Approves Resignation of Alderman From City Committees

-The Neillsville City Council approved the resignation of a council member from several city committees.The mayor presented Council Member Harnisch’s resignations from the Library Board, Board of Cemetery Commissioners and the Illegal Tax Committee. The council accepted the resignations from all three committees. The mayor recommended Mary Sladich as a member of the Library Board and the council approved the recommendation. The mayor also presented a request from the Neillsville Area Chamber of Commerce for use of Sniteman Town Square Park for Autumn Harvest Fest and to hang a banner on the Gazebo announcing the event.
They also asked to close Hewett Street from Division Street to W. Eighth Street and Armory Avenue from Court Street to Hewett Street on Sunday, October 11th. The event runs from 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. approximately. In the end, the council approved the use of the town square and the closing of the streets for the event.
