COVID-19 Exposure at Owen Bar

following location has been identified as an exposure site for COVID-19.

Numerous cases of COVID-19 have been identified via lab-confirmed test results from individuals whom were at the location on the dates listed above. The Clark County Health Department (CCHD) is encouraging everyone who was present at this location on the dates above, to self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days from their last visit. If you develop symptoms, please contact your healthcare provider to get tested for COVID-19.

The Taylor County Health Department is hosting a free testing event today (8/26/20) with National Guard assistance. The testing event will be held at the Taylor County Fair Grounds, located at the junction of Highway 13 and Highway 64, Medford, WI 54451 and will take place from 11:00 am through 7:00 pm. Everyone is welcome. Those whom have symptoms and/or think they may have been exposed to COVID-19, are encouraged to attend. The free testing is available to all Wisconsin residents 5 years and older. No public restrooms will be available.

Management at the Thirsty Squirrel has been requiring staff to wear masks, and assures they have been taking necessary COVID-19 precautions. After each exposure date, the Thirsty Squirrel closed for a couple days to conduct thorough cleaning and disinfecting. The establishment continues to work closely with the CCHD.
