Saying Goodbye to Marshfield's Hefko Pool

(WDLB) -Marshfield's nearly-century-old swimming pool will disappear this week.That's what Parks-and-Recreation Director Justin Casperson told members of the Common Council last night. Casperson said work on Hefko Pool's replacement, the new Vandehey Waters Outdoor Aquatic Center, is well underway. Casperson also said general contractor Boson Construction has a live feed of the construction project on their website, which he said snaps a new photo every 10-to-15 minutes.
Ground was broken last month on the new facility, with completion set for next summer, on the same site as Hefko Pool, which the city decided to close this summer to bump up the new aquatic center's construction.
